About Me

All I Wanna Do Is Write (mostly)

Hello New Friends,

I'm Casey Davis, a happily married wife of a Marine turned Software Engineer. We both share a love for Jesus Christ, Writing, Theology, History and Film. We're also fairly fond of our four children: Chandler (married to Cadie), Evie, Caryn and Ridge.

Our oldest, Chandler is working hard while his wife finishes her RN degree. Our youngest son, Ridge, will most likely be entering the military early next year. Both of our daughters are gifted artistically. The youngest of the girls, Caryn, attends a performing arts high school in Georgia, and will be attending University to study Art Education and Film Production. The oldest, Evie, is helping with the artwork for her dad's upcoming passion project, and she will be majoring in Forensic Chemistry. We're incredibly proud as we see them all launching into adulthood with purpose. All four of our children are avid video gamers, having dabbled in code and video game development. My husband loves this because that's how he started his very successful career in Seattle about three decades ago.

I attended film school in my twenties, and after 25 years in nonprofit development and business development, now I simply stay home, focus on a healthy lifestyle, write screenplays and focus on my hobby: vintage finds! View my TikTok page here.

I take my writing seriously, but even I admit, my husband's new novels put me to shame! I can hardly wait to see him published and on the shelves next year. Y'all are going to love what he has in store for you. The man amazes me each and every day. He inspires me to push myself. I have several writing projects I'm developing. However, those are not my only dreams. Check out my vision for the future here.

Writing is the only thing I do where I don't feel like I should be doing something elsesomeone once said. That someone could've been me. I'm not the best in the world, by a long shot, but it makes my soul happy.

I don't believe God will pour more wisdom and creativity into us until we've poured out to others what He's already given, so this blog is one way I can share what I've learned along my atypical journey. I finally decided to commit myself to share the good, the bad and the ugly, and be intentional about it. I hope it inspires and encourages you, and maybe reminds you of how not to take the ups and downs too seriously.
